Karen Richards seeks re-election

Allen County Prosecutor Karen Richards is seeking re-election as the county's top law enforcement officer.

Richards, 59, is finishing up her third term in the position, and she has worked in the prosecutor's office for more than 30 years.

She made her official announcement Thursday at the GOP headquarters downtown.

The announcement comes a little more than two weeks after fellow GOP-candidate and old rival Mike Loomis threw his hat in the ring.
