FWCS cancels parent-teacher conferences; classes set Friday

Fort Wayne Community Schools has canceled its parent-teacher conferences set for Wednesday and Thursday, and will use Friday, originally a day off, as a makeup day, Superintendent Wendy Robinson said today.

"While we believe this time with parents is important, we have not been in school enough yet this semester for in-depth conversations to take place," Robinson said in a statement.

"As winter continues, we could still face delays and cancellations because of weather. We will make additional adjustments to the calendar as warranted."
