Local counties extend snow, travel warnings

As winter weather keeps coming, some counties are extending snow and travel warnings.

Steuben County said tonight it would extend its travel warning until 9 a.m. Tuesday, and would lower it to a travel watch then unless weather conditions deteriorate.

LaGrange County said its warning would continue until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, then drop to a travel watch then unless weather conditions deteriorate.

Whitley County said its warning would continue until 6 a.m. Tuesday, then would drop to a watch.

Wells County downgraded its travel conditions this afternoon to the warning level.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution on the roads because of blowing and drifting snow.
