Warrant issued in molestings

A Bluffton man is accused of molesting a teenage boy for the better part of a year while the two lived in the same home.

Allen County prosecutors formally charged Trey A. Mettler, 19, with several felony charges Friday.

Among the charges are five counts of child molesting and five counts of sexual misconduct with a minor.

The molestations might have begun years ago, but Mettler was charged only for those cases that occurred after he turned 18 in 2012, according to court documents.

His victim was 13 when the molestings began, court documents said.

In an interview with police, Mettler admitted to molesting the boy because “he was an easy and willing victim.”

A warrant has been issued for Mettler’s arrest.
