New Haven outlasts Leo in 2 OT

New Haven had to work overtime, twice actually, but got past host Leo 82-75 in boys basketball Wednesday.

The Lions outscored the Bulldogs 24-17 in the fourth quarter to send the game into the first overtime.

Jordan Hogue had 21 points and 10 rebounds for New Haven (8-2), while Steve McElvene added 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Dylan Barrow had 21 points for Leo (6-5).

DWENGER 53, CARROLL 37: Grady Eifert had 22 points for the visiting Saints (6-4).

For Carroll (7-6), Chandler White had 19 points.

Girls basketball

CONCORDIA 70, WOODLAN 31: The host Cadets outscored the Warriors 37-13 in the first half en route to the nonconference win.

Concordia (14-3) got 15 points from Dejour Young and Courtney Smith, with 10 points from Shania Kelly. Brooke Gerbers had 12 points for Woodlan (8-5).

EAST NOBLE 36, CENTRAL NOBLE 23: The visiting Knights held the Cougars scoreless in the second quarter.

Kourtney Edwards had 13 points and Kavan Edwards 10 for East Noble (13-4).

HUNTINGTON NORTH 40, NORTHROP 32: Hannah Stoffel had 11 points, while Paige Coolman added seven points and 12 rebounds for the visiting Vikings.

The Vikings improved to 5-7. Northrop (3-12) got 10 points from Aleah Swary.

LEO 44, FREMONT 29: The Lions didn’t have a player in double figures but still rolled to the big road win.

Brooke Imel led Leo (13-2) with eight points. For Fremont (10-7), Shae Rhonehouse had 12 points.
