Online chats lead to sex with teen, prison

A 30-year-old Fort Wayne man pleaded guilty Wednesday to having a relationship with a 15-year-old girl he met online.

Jason M. Willis, of the 6100 block of Graymoor Lane, pleaded guilty to a single count of sexual misconduct with a minor.

He was charged in August with two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and two counts of child solicitation.

According to court documents, the crimes occurred between August and September 2012, and the girl’s father reported the sexual contact to police in October 2012.

The girl said she met Willis on a chat website, and the two arranged to meet. They had sex in his car.

In exchange for his guilty plea, Willis will receive a sentence of four years in prison, with another four years suspended and three years on probation.

The additional charges will be dismissed at sentencing if the plea agreement is accepted.
