Toll Road bans large trucks Friday and Saturday

Because of expected high winds, the Indiana Toll Road has banned large trucks along its entire length from noon Fort Wayne time Friday to noon Saturday, ITR Concession Co. has announced.

The ban is for triple, long double and high profile oversize permit loads, excluding low profile steel haulers, the company said in a statement. It said the ban would be re-evaluated on Saturday morning and might be extended.

Gusty winds on Friday and Saturday may create blowing snow and reduced visibilities, the National Weather Service says.
