Charges filed in 2nd Craigslist holdup

A 22-year-old Fort Wayne man arrested last week in a September robbery was charged Tuesday in a second robbery.

Eric Anthony Mitchell, of the 2000 block of Pontiac Street, was being held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

On Oct. 29, Mitchell arranged to meet a man who answered his Craigslist ad in the parking lot of Kroger at Georgetown. Mitchell robbed the man of $320, a backpack, laptop, cellphone, checkbook and BB gun, according to court documents.

Police believe Mitchell robbed a different man Sept. 19 in the area of Spring Street and St. Marys Avenue.

After pointing a gun at the victim, Mitchell made off with $350 cash and the man’s iPhone 3S with its case, court records said.
