Marshals arrest suspect in fatal New Haven semi crash

A truck driver wanted in a fatal January 2013 semi crash in New Haven has been arrested in South Carolina, the U.S. Marshals Service said today.

Scott Saunders, 51, faces 16 counts in Allen County, including reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter and criminal recklessness, the marshals service said in a statement.

In January 2013, the statement said, Saunders was driving a semi that collided with several vehicles stopped at the intersection of Indiana 930 East and Doyle Road. Two people died and others were injured, it said.

Saunders was arrested today in Greenville, S.C., and will await extradition to Indiana, the statement said.
