Employee accused of stealing narcotics

Bargas

A pharmacy technician at a local Kroger store is accused of stealing prescription narcotics from her employer.

According to Indiana State Police, Jessicah H. Bargas, 26, was confronted by a security official and the pharmacy coordinator Thursday evening as she finished her shift at the Waynedale Kroger store, 7008 Bluffton Road.

Earlier in the day, the same store employees contacted the state police, saying they suspected Bargas had been stealing prescription medications from the pharmacy in recent months.

When confronted, Bargas gave the store officials a bottle containing 100 hydrocodone pills. When state police detectives arrived, they found another 100 hydrocodone pills on Bargas and 100 Xanax pills in her vehicle.

Bargas was arrested and taken to the Allen County Jail on four preliminary charges each of possession of a controlled substance and theft, according to police.
