BLOOMINGTON – Indiana followed its most impressive win of the season with its most disappointing loss.
The Hoosiers fells 54-47 to Northwestern on Saturday at Assembly Hall. IU was coming off a 75-72 win over No. 3 Wisconsin on Tuesday.
The Hoosiers (12-6, 2-3 Big Ten) could never find an offensive rhythm Saturday, shooting 15 of 60 (25 percent). They made 32 of 62 shots (51.6 percent) against the Badgers.
The Wildcats (9-10, 2-4) weren't much better on offense, going 19 of 51 from the floor (37.3 percent).
Noah Vonleh had 17 points and 12 rebounds for IU, but no other Hoosier cracked double figures. Yogi Ferrell finished with 9 points on 2-of-14 shooting, and Will Sheehey – who appeared to injury his ankle in the second half – had 2 points on 1-of-7 shooting.
Drew Crawford scored 17 for Northwestern, and Tre Demps had 15.
