Woodlan wins first ACAC title since 1997

Woodlan won its first ACAC boys basketball tournament title since 1997 with a 62-54 win over Garrett on Saturday at Memorial Coliseum.

The Warriors (7-4) were the tournament runners-up last season.

Greg White hit 11 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter to secure the win for Woodlan. He finished with 20 points.

Jaylin Bennett added 14 points.

For Garrett (8-3), tournament MVP Justin McCoy had 28 points and 12 rebounds.
