Top baby names: Noah ties Liam, Ava beats Olivia

FORT WAYNE – What’s the most popular baby name in Allen County?

Noah and Liam are neck and neck, and Ava edged out Olivia, according to birth records filed in Allen County in 2013

For the 3,427 boys and 3,235 girls born last year, parents selected more than 1,300 different boy names and 1,600 different girl names, county health officials said.

There were 33 Liams and 33 Noahs, 38 Avas and 35 Olivias.

Other boy names in the top 10 were Carter, Jackson, Owen, Elijah, Mason, Jacob, James and Samuel.

The other girl names were Isabella, Sophia, Emma, Lillian, Addison, Charlotte, Harper and Evelyn.
