Slick roads cause crashes

FORT WAYNE – The Indiana State Police are reporting that all roads in the Fort Wayne area are covered with snow and slick.

Troopers and local police are working at a number of crashes and slide-offs.

"Please be vigilant for slowed or stopped traffic and for emergency personnel who are working to clear these affected areas," the patrol said.

Whitley County Emergency Management said roadways are snow covered and slick. There were 2 inches of snow on the ground in Whitley County around 1:30 p.m. with some blowing east and west on the roadways.

The county predicted the snow would stop by 5 p.m. Thursday.
