New Main Street closure to begin

FORT WAYNE – Main Street is scheduled to close between Ewing Street and Harrison Street next week.

The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department announced Friday that the closure beginning Monday is needed for the Ewing Street East-West Storm Sewer Separation project.

API Construction will install a storm and sanitary sewer along and across Main Street.

There will be a marked detour for westbound traffic using Harrison, Berry and Ewing streets. Eastbound traffic will have a marked detour using Fairfield Avenue, Wayne Street and Harrison Street.

Access to the Fort Wayne Community Center will be available from Maiden Lane off Berry.
