Dash … We Tried It

The recipe reviewed here appears on Page 6 of today’s Dash, a monthly food magazine inserted in The Journal Gazette.

Everything Bagel Chicken

Difficulty: Beginner

Prep/cook time: 40 minutes

I have nothing against caraway seeds. I like corned beef, and I love rye bread. I just don’t love the flavor enough to drive in 8 inches of snow to buy them.

And, as such, I was missing one of the “everythings” in this recipe.

Nonetheless, my husband and I found the chicken to be extremely flavorful. I made it with chicken legs – cheaper and more dinner-appropriate – and the mix gave the meat a nice crust. Initially, I thought the cream cheese dip would be flavorless, but it was actually a nice complement.
