4-H offers dog obedience training

FORT WAYNE – Allen County 4-H is offering dog obedience training this spring.

The program is open to young people who are in grades 3-12 with a dog that is at least 6 months old.

Participants will learn how to work with the dog to heel on a leash, stand for examination, sit and stay. They will also learn about dog health, care and grooming.

The cost is $62 and workshops are 6 to 7 p.m. Mondays beginning in March at the Home Loan Bank Building at the Allen County Fairgrounds, 2726 Carroll Road.

All fees and paperwork must be turned in by Feb. 21. Class size is limited.
