Huntington update

Statement as issued Monday by the city of Huntington, posted at 1 p.m.:

The City has been informed that the Huntington County Commissioners have extended the Level 1 Snow Emergency until 3:00 PM, Tues. Jan. 7th

Huntington City Crews have been out plowing the streets since 10:00 pm, Sunday, Jan. 5th, and as of 1:00 pm Mon., Jan 6th, and have completed plowing the main streets, and are working on plowing secondary streets. The City road conditions are improving and crews will continue working. NOTE: Monday and Tuesday trash collection this will week will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 7th. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

The Huntington City Building will not be open on Tuesday, January 7th.
