Crews end 5th day of search for Ill. woman

– Conservation officers have ended a fifth day of searches in southwestern Indiana without finding the body of an Illinois woman who was swept away by floodwaters.

Indiana Conservation Officer Joe Haywood says crews used heavy machinery Thursday to move piles of corn stalks left by receding floodwaters in their search of 31-year-old Cathryn McGill.

Police dogs were also used in the search for the former Des Plaines, Ill., woman.

McGill was riding in a pickup truck Sunday driven by her 35-year-old husband when floodwaters swept their truck away. Adam McGill was rescued from the floodwaters.

Crews on Thursday were able to extract the couple's truck from the scene and tow it away.

Haywood says crews will return Friday for a sixth day of searches for McGill.
