Cancellations and closings

These cancellations and closings have been received at The Journal Gazette:

  • Republic Services/National Serv-All's five Allen County manned recycling centers will be closed. Only those centers are closed; Republic Services itself remains open.
  • Indiana state government says state-government offices where public business is conducted will open at 10 a.m. local time Monday. This includes the Indiana Supreme Court and WorkOne offices.
  • HOPE for Animals will be closed Monday.

Early opening

Ball State University said it would reopen its residence halls at noon Saturday because of the storm expected Sunday.

Any residence-hall resident returning early may eat at LaFollette's American Buffet from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday, the university said in a statement. It said all dining locations will operate normally beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
