Upcoming: The Writers Guild of America reveals its film nominations today. Next week, nominations are made by groups representing directors, cinematographers, art directors, costumers and film editors.

‘12 Years’ among producers nods

As the film awards season gets back into full swing after a few weeks off for the holidays, some familiar titles are among nominations from the Producers Guild of America.

Producers of film-season darling “12 Years a Slave” are on the list. Also making the list are the producers of “American Hustle,” “Blue Jasmine,” “Captain Phillips,” “Dallas Buyers Club,” “Gravity,” “Her,” “Nebraska,” “Saving Mr. Banks” and “The Wolf of Wall Street.”

In a separate category, nominations were made for producers of the animated films “The Croods,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Epic,” “Frozen” and “Monsters University.”

Nominations were also made for TV categories, joining previously announced categories such as documentary feature.

Winners will be announced in a ceremony Jan. 19.
