Ohio service for 4-year-old killed in van accident

– A memorial service is planned for a 4-year-old boy who Ohio authorities say was accidentally run over by a van driven by his father.

A Columbus area funeral home is accepting donations to pay the cost of returning the body of Angel Hernandez to Honduras.

Defense attorney Scott Culbert says he’s taking the boy’s father, Natividad de Jesus Hernandez, to the Thursday evening service and returning him to jail.

The 30-year-old Hernandez is accused of driving away without talking to authorities after the accident last Thursday in Union County.

Culbert says Hernandez shouldn’t be prosecuted, pointing to video that shows police arriving to help and then leaving him there alone.

Hernandez is in jail on a $500,000 bond with his next court hearing Monday.
