Crews to enter 5th day of search for Ill. woman

– Conservation officers are preparing for a fifth day of searches for an Illinois woman who was swept away by floodwaters in southwestern Indiana.

Indiana Conservation Officer Jet Quillen said crews had hoped Wednesday that receding waters along the White River that exposed the pickup truck 31-year-old Cathryn McGill had been riding in would help them find the former Des Plaines, Ill., woman.

But Quillen says the receding waters left behind large piles of corn stalks, trees and other debris that complicated the search.

McGill was riding in a pickup truck driven by her 35-year-old husband when it was swept away Sunday. Adam McGill was rescued and treated at a local hospital for hypothermia.

The couple was heading to Norfolk, Va., where Adam McGill is stationed with the Navy.
