Prince William is going back to school this month.

The Duke of Cambridge has enrolled in a 10-week program in agricultural management at the University of Cambridge, according the BBC’s website.

The program includes lectures and meetings to help understand issues faced by farm communities in the future British monarch’s realm.

When his father, Prince Charles, takes the throne, William will take over the Duchy of Cornwall, a portfolio that has made Charles one of the United Kingdom’s top farmers.

Guilty plea

A central Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty to beating a star of the TV series “Amish Mafia.”

Imir Williams admitted Thursday to assaulting and stalking girlfriend Esther Schmucker, who appears on the Discovery Channel show based in Lancaster County.

Authorities say Williams repeatedly punched Schmucker on Oct. 31 at her Strasburg home and broke her nose, cheekbone and several teeth.

The Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era reports Williams had been jailed for the past seven weeks. He was released on bail Monday after serving a month more than the standard penalty for such charges.

Williams was placed on probation for three years and ordered to have no contact with Schmucker.

Actor out of prison

A former “Sopranos” actor convicted of attempted burglary for his role in the killing of an off-duty New York City police officer has been released on parole.

State corrections officials say Lillo Brancato Jr. was freed from prison at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

A jury found Brancato guilty on the attempted burglary charge in 2008 but acquitted him of murder in the death of officer Daniel Enchautegui. He was sentenced to 10 years. His co-defendant was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Actress pregnant

Actress Teresa Castillo and her husband are expecting their first child, the “General Hospital” star told People.com for a story published Monday.

The baby, due in May, is a girl, she said.
