NH 'air quality' problem sends 10 to hospital

RINDGE, N.H. — Authorities say an issue with air quality at a New Hampshire food market has sent 10 people complaining of dizziness and respiratory problems to three area hospitals.

Shift Lt. Tom Redin of the Southwestern New Hampshire District Fire Mutual Aid says that the source of the problem was still being investigated Sunday night at the Market Basket on Route 202.

He says emergency officials were called at 6:12 p.m. and that a Hazmat team from Keene was sent to the scene to help determine the cause of the air quality problem.

The exact cause and seriousness of the injuries was not immediately known.

Ambulances from five other towns came to the scene and the victims were taken to hospitals in Keene, Peterborough and Gardner, Mass.
