Despite rain, rivers below flood stage

Even with Saturday's flood watch, Fort Wayne’s three rivers were well below the flood stage Sunday morning, according to City of Fort Wayne Public Information Officer Frank Suarez.

Suarez said teams put pumps on three streets that flooded, but the flooding was a combination of too much rain and melting snow and was not affected by the rivers.

“There are a few areas with minor street flooding, but none of the major streets are involved,” Suarez said.

He said there are flood pumps on Chaucer Road, Baer Road and the cul-de-sac of Foster Park near Hartman Road.
