Gunshots reported Saturday near Weisser Park Ave.

Fort Wayne police were investigating reported gunshots shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon in a south side neighborhood.

Police tape was around a boarded up house at 4510 Weisser Park Ave. and the empty lot next door just south of Congress Avenue.

Police also had an area behind the house taped off, and they were going door-to-door Saturday afternoon talking with neighbors.

An officer at the scene said police cannot confirm any information, but he said the investigation does not appear to involve any life-threatening injuries.

Neighbors said they heard gunshots and saw an ambulance pull away from the scene. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
