2 arrested after drug house complaints

Goodvine

Complaints about drug sales at a home on the city's southeast side resulted in two arrests and condemnation of the house, the Fort Wayne Police Department said Thursday.

Vice/Narcotics Division and Emergency Services officers went to the house in the 5000 block of Bowser Avenue shortly before 8:45 a.m. Thursday.

The police said James Hendry Sanders Jr. and Tammie Nichelle Goodvine (aka Tammie Sanders) were arrested and charged with dealing in a synthetic drug; possession of marijuana; being a violent felon in possession of a firearm; receiving stolen property; and maintaining a common nuisance

Bond was set for each at $12,500.

The police said the search was the result of "an ongoing cooperative effort with the community."

Detectives reported seizing two firearms, including one stolen in a prior city burglary, as well as 800 grams of bulk synthetic cannabinoid drugs and nearly $800 in cash.

Neighborhood Code Enforcement also condemned the property, police said.
