4 to 6 inches of snow expected in coming storm

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, with most parts of the area expected to get 4 to 6 inches of snow between Friday night and Saturday night.

LaGrange County is in part of an area expected to receive 2 to 4 inches of snow, the weather service's northern Indiana office said, although additional accumulations of lake-effect snow there are possible Saturday night and Sunday.

Roads will become snow-covered, slick and hazardous Friday night, continuing into Saturday, making travel difficult, the advisory said. It urged "caution when shoveling snow as this can be a very strenuous activity."
