US 33 near Churubusco reopens after fire

U.S. 33 north of Churubusco has reopened after a structure fire in the area, Whitley County announced this afternoon.

Drivers should be cautious because the road may be slick, the county said in a statement.

Officials had urged drivers to avoid the area.

The fire near County Road 600 North caused "significant traffic backups and other issues," according to a previous statement.
