    FORT WAYNE – Police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of Antonio L. Niño, who was killed during an armed robbery April 7 at the tobacco shop he owned.

    FORT WAYNE – Two men are in custody after police converged on a north-side house Tuesday, seizing about 582 pounds of marijuana, according to a statement issued Wednesday by Cpl.

    Just one day after the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department put the word out it was looking for a registered sex offender, the department made an arrest in the case. Police were looking for Corey A.

DeKalb drug task force arrests several suspects

DeKalb County’s Drug Task Force, I.M.A.G.E., issued arrest warrants Dec. 3 for seven people after a yearlong investigation, according to a statement issued Monay. The following people were arrested:

•Zhonn Bowser, 30, was served arrest warrants at the DeKalb County Jail, where he was being held on unrelated charges. He was charged with two felony counts of dealing in a schedule I, II or III substance. He was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

•Jesse Damron, 23, was arrested Dec. 3 on two felony counts of dealing a schedule I, II or III substance within 1,000 feet of a school or park. He was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

•Brandon Damron, 20, was arrested Dec. 8 on a felony charge of dealing methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a park or school.

•Lance Krider, 29, is serving a sentence with the Indiana Department of Corrections on unrelated charges. After he is released from serving that sentence, he will come before a court for a felony dealing methamphetamine charge.

•Jody Lee, 44, was arrested Dec. 3 on felony charges of dealing a schedule I, II or III substance and maintaining a common nuisance. He was being held in lieu of $11,500 bail.

•Andrew McCloskey was arrested Dec. 3 on felony charges of dealing a schedule I, II or III substance and maintaining a common nuisance. He was being held in lieu of $11,500 bail.

•Natasha Peters, 32, is wanted for two counts of dealing methamphetamine. Peters had not been arrested Monday, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.
