Stabbing victim injured critically

Attacker seen fleeing in dark pickup

Police found a man suffering from an apparent stabbing when they were called to the 5700 block of Bluebird Court near St. Joe and St. Joe Center roads about 2 a.m. Sunday, the Fort Wayne Police Department reported.

The victim, who was conscious, was taken to a hospital, where a physician declared his condition critical.

Police believe the stabbing occurred in front of a home on Bluebird Court, according to a statement.

Witnesses said the attacker fled in a dark-colored pickup truck.

The name of the victim was not released, and a police spokesman said no new information was available Sunday night.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is no longer seeking the public's assistance in the stabbing incident which took place on Blue Bird Court. A person of interest has been identified and interviewed and the case turned over to the Allen County Prosecutors office for review.
