State police warn drivers about icy I-70

RICHMOND, Ind. – State police are warning drivers traveling on Interstate 70 near Richmond in eastern Indiana that a 10-mile stretch is icy and there have been numerous crashes.

Police say the icy roads are between the 145 mile marker, which is the Centerville Road exit, and the 153-mile marker, which is the State Road 227 exit. Police say bridges and overpasses are continuing to freeze over and cause traffic problems.

State police say drivers should use caution, watch for emergency vehicles and should slow down while traveling in that area.
