IPFW women lose to Evansville

The IPFW women’s basketball team had its 4-game winning streak snapped as it dropped an early morning road game at Evansville 80-67.

It was the Mastodons' third game of a four-game road trip that will end with a trip to Purdue on Sunday.

Amanda Hyde earned her first double-double of the season and the second of her career as she led all players with 32 points while pulling down 10 rebounds. Hyde shot 10 of 13 from the field and 11 of 12 from the free throw line and also led all players with six assists.

Haley Seibert added eight points for the Mastodons while Stefanie Mauk scored five points a grabbed seven rebounds in her first game back after missing the previous four. Ariana Simmons led all players with four blocks to go along with seven points and four rebounds. In all, nine different players scored for the Mastodons.
