Its a lesson some of us have to learn the hard way: you cant always trust your former prison mate offering to sell you good weed.
And its a lesson one man learned Sunday – in a gas station parking lot.
A Fort Wayne police officer was called to the Marathon at 5321 S. Anthony Blvd. just before 8 p.m. where he met a man who claimed he was robbed.
This mans narrative, detailed in a police report, began when he got inside his eventual robbers car.
The man told the officer he and his robber were in prison together. Then he finally admitted he was in the car to purchase medicinal marijuana.
When he said he had no license for medicinal marijuana, he admitted he was trying to buy good weed.
In the middle of the transaction, the mans former prison friend threatened that he had a gun, though he never showed one.
He took an undisclosed amount of money and a cellphone which the man admitted did not belong to him.
