INDIANAPOLIS – Central Indiana police say two high school students have been stabbed in an altercation with another student near an Indianapolis high school.
Police in the Indianapolis suburb of Beech Grove say the two victims were hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries following Tuesday’s stabbings near Beech Grove High School.
The Indianapolis Star reports the stabbing occurred as two students were walking from the campus to a nearby fast-food restaurant.
Police say an altercation then unfolded between the two students and a third student who took out a knife.
Officers were trying to determine whether the student who took out the knife was defending himself or whether he started the fight. He was being questioned by police but had not been arrested as of Tuesday afternoon.
