Concordia scored the first four touchdowns and rolled to a 28-14 victory Friday over Lakeland in a Class 3A sectional-opening game in LaGrange.
David Morrison completed 16 of 28 passes for 268 yards.
He threw three touchdowns and an interception for the Cadets (7-3), who beat Lakeland 35-3 on Oct. 11.
Concordia’s Tony Perugini had eight tackles.
The Lakers (7-3) were paced by William Kelly, who completed 10 of 28 passes for 203 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
WARSAW 40, NORTHROP 20: The visiting Tigers scored the first 40 points. Tristan McClone led the way with 121 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. Caleb Wooldridge had two sacks for the Tigers (7-3).
Northrop (2-8) got 117 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries from Trevon Wilson.
NEW HAVEN 47, SOUTH SIDE 14: Ariest Vasquez ran for 295 yards and four touchdowns for the visiting Bulldogs.
It was tied at 7 before the Bulldogs (9-1) scored 40 straight points.
South Side (3-7) got 76 rushing yards from Dionte Walker.
LEO 35, WAWASEE 7: In Syracuse, Leo (10-0) racked up 368 rushing yards and four touchdowns, paced by Logan Leiter’s 249 yards and three touchdowns.
Wawasee (5-5) had it tied at 7 in the first quarter.
EAST NOBLE 55, NORTHWOOD 21: In Kendallville, Brandon Mable ran for 269 yards and five touchdowns as the Knights (8-2) rolled past NorthWood (4-6).
BISHOP DWENGER 28, NORTHRIDGE 3: In Middlebury, the Saints (7-3) had the first two TDs against the Raiders (7-3)
BELLMONT 35, WHITKO 13: In South Whitley, Bellmont (5-5) was paced by Chase Ellsworth, who ran for 103 yards and a touchdown. John Sefton added six catches for 82 yards and two touchdowns.
Whitko (7-3) got 12 1/2 tackles from Zach Baughman.
BISHOP LUERS 41, WEST NOBLE 3: The host Knights finally got a win – after winning their fourth straight Class 2A title last year – and are now 1-9. Luers’ Austin Mack had eight catches for 203 yards and a touchdown. West Noble finished 3-7.
WOODLAN 57, CENTRAL NOBLE 26: Jaylin Bennett had 290 of the Warriors’ team-record 530 rushing yards in the road win. Bennett scored three touchdowns for Woodlan (8-3).
CHURUBUSCO 28, EASTSIDE 13: In Churubusco, the Eagles (8-2) racked up 440 rushing yards. Leading the way were Kane Johnson (189 yards, one touchdown) and Cody Conwell (131 yards, two touchdowns) against the Blazers (4-6).
BLUFFTON 62, EASTERN 34: In Greentown, D’Wayne Eskridge rushed 18 times for 216 yards and five touchdowns for the Tigers (5-5). Eric Baumgartner and Michael Pearson both had eight tackles against Eastern (2-8).
ADAMS CENTRAL 34, NORTH MIAMI 7: In Monroe, the Flying Jets (6-4) were led by Kyle Baker, who rushed 26 times for 213 yards and a touchdown.
North Miami (1-9) got a 19-yard touchdown pass from Jacob White to Alex Borse.
SOUTHWOOD 58, FREMONT 19: In Fremont, the Knights (7-3) got their fifth straight victory. All the points scored by Fremont (2-8) came in the second quarter.
