The Millennial 2020 program has received a $30,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Donor-Advised Fund, local officials announced Wednesday.
M2020, an initiative of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, gives millennials an active voice and role in Vision 2020, a regional economic development plan.
The young leaders’ group plans to use the money to support and expand ongoing projects, including presentations to high school students, speed networking events and job shadowing opportunities for members.
M2020 also plans to organize a third Spark Tank event to generate ideas to improve northeast Indiana. The organization evaluates ideas then offers seed money to implement the best of them.
