One person was flown to a Fort Wayne hospital Friday after a crash in rural northwest Ohio.
The Defiance Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash at U.S. 127 and Ohio 249, between Bryan and Sherwood.
Shortly before 11 a.m., a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus driven by Darius Peterson, 22, of Defiance, was eastbound on Ohio 249 when he failed to yield at a stop sign. The car struck a 2003 Ford F-250 pickup driven by Earl D. Polter, 68, of Sherwood, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.
Both drivers were taken to a Bryan hospital. A passenger in the pickup, Darrin Polter, was flown to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, the post said. His condition was not available Friday evening.
