BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Poland’s ambassador to the U.S., Ryszard Schnepf, will return to Indiana University’s Bloomington campus next week.
Schnepf will discuss “Poland in Today’s World” in a free talk at 4 p.m. Oct. 24 in the University Club of the Indiana Memorial Union
Schnepf was an assistant professor of history at Warsaw University and was a visiting professor at IU during the 1982-83 academic year. In an interview earlier this year with IU’s Polish Studies Program, Schnepf recalled he discovered in IU’s library books about Poland that he had not known previously.
Schnepf was appointed as Poland’s ambassador to the U.S. in September 2012 and formally presented his credentials to President Barack Obama in January. He also has been Poland’s ambassador to Costa Rica, Spain, Uruguay and Paraguay.
