Prosecutors allege that a man kicked a Fort Wayne police officer in the groin twice and tried to run away before he was jolted with a Taser and arrested.
Nathaniel Lamb, 53, was charged Wednesday with felony counts of attempted escape, battery and resisting law enforcement.
On Oct. 3, the officer went to a home to arrest a man with an outstanding warrant, and Lamb, who also had a warrant for his arrest, happened to be there. The officer took Lamb onto the front porch, and they were talking calmly when Lamb suddenly kicked the officer twice, court documents stated.
Lamb started to run away, but the officer managed to shock him with a Taser and take him into custody, court documents said.
Lamb, of the 200 block of East Williams Street, was being held without bail Wednesday at the Allen County Jail on an unrelated probation violation.
