Two teens armed with handguns were arrested after robbing a 13-year-old of an iPad while waiting at a bus stop Friday, police say.
Jerome Kendrell-Lamarr Davis, 18, has been preliminarily charged with aiding in attempted armed robbery and aiding in armed robbery.
A 17-year-old has also been arrested, according to police reports.
According to investigators, Davis and the 17-year-old approached a group of younger teens in the 2000 block of Carterton Drive.
The pair brandished handguns – one turned out to be a semiautomatic, the other a pellet gun – and stole a 13-year-old boy’s school-issued iPad.
Fort Wayne Police were quickly called and ended up chasing Davis and the 17-year-old.
Both ran from police, narrowly avoided being tased by officers and were eventually caught, according to police reports.
