Milford Township-OH – The Defiance Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that critically injured the driver. The crash occurred at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say 19-year-old Mallory Hugg of Sherwood, was traveling northbound on State Route 49 near milepost 12 in Milford Township, in Defiance County when her vehicle left the road. The vehicle rolled over several times into a corn field before the Hugg was ejected.
Hugg was transported to Parkview Regional Medical Center by Promedica Life Flight in critical condition. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. 16-year-old Cain Person, of Edgerton, a passenger in the vehicle was taken to Hicksville Hospital with minor injuries. Person was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash is under investigation.
