3Rivers Federal Credit Union said today it has had several reports of automated phone calls made to members and non-members saying a debit card has been deactivated and seeking personal account information.
The messages are not from 3Rivers, the Fort Wayne-based credit union said in a statement. It said the credit union will not call you to ask for card or account information because it already has it.
If you have given out account information or suspect your account has been compromised, the statement said, contact the credit union by email at email@example.com, call 800-825-3641 or visit a branch.
It asked customers to provide as much detail as possible -- but not to provide account numbers in an email.
