The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Defiance Post is investigating a hit-and-run crash involving two women walking a dog before dawn Monday.
The post said the women were hit about 7:12 a.m. on Openlander Road, north of Buckskin Road, northwest of Sherwood in Defiance County.
The vehicle is described as possibly being a white pickup truck, according to a patrol statement issued later Monday.
The pickup was going south on Openlander when it went off of the right side of the road, the statement said. If there is any damage to the vehicle, it said, it will be on the left, right and front bumper and grille area.
Pheobie Hanover, 37, and Christine Miller, 45, both of the Sherwood area, had minor injuries and were taken to an area hospital, the post said. It did not indicate the extent of injuries to the dog.
The post is asking anyone with information to call 419-784-1025.
