A Fort Wayne man is accused of molesting a middle school student for nearly nine years, beginning when she was 5 years old.
Allen County Prosecutors on Monday formally charged Sean Patrick Hogan – aka Shawn Hogan, Sean Hagan and Shawn Hagan – with eight felony counts of child molesting and one felony count of dissemination of material harmful to minors.
The 37-year-old denied all allegations against him in an interview with police and described his relationship with the girl, who is not a relative, as one a father has with his daughter.
The girl told of a different relationship, according to Allen Superior Court documents.
Hogan, of the 2500 block of Birchwood Avenue, knew the girls family and would have her over frequently, insisting she sleep in bed with him, according to court documents.
Molestations began in 2004, according to court documents, and continued up into this year when Hogan used handcuffs on the girl and had sex with her, the girl said in court documents.
Hogan is also accused of sending the girl an inappropriate picture of himself in his underwear and taking at least one partly naked picture of her, court documents said.
The girl claimed Hogan threatened to kill her father or burn her house down if she ever said anything about what happened between them.
In May, the girl told one of her school counselors of the abuse, prompting a police investigation.
One of her school officials also listened to a voice mail Hogan left on the girls phone, saying: Youre my life. Youre my love. Youre my muse.
If convicted, Hogan faces a sentence that could possibly put him in prison for the rest of his life.
