A head-on collision Wednesday on Fort Wayne’s south side injured three people, including one critically, according to city police.
About 4:45 p.m., police were called to the 5800 block of Winchester Road, north of the Airport Expressway. They found a Toyota Camry and a Chevy Venture van that both had heavy front-end damage from the crash, police said.
It took firefighters 25 minutes to remove the van driver from her vehicle. She was taken, along with her front-seat passenger, to a hospital. They were in stable condition Wednesday night, police said.
The Toyota driver, a woman, was also transported to the hospital, where she was listed in critical condition, police said. None of the motorists involved was identified.
Winchester Road was closed between Shamrock Road and Winn Avenue for over two hours while authorities investigated the crash.
