Concordia and Adams Central took home first place in their respective classes Saturday during a high school marching band contest in Waterloo.
Area bands competed in the DeKalb Invitational at DeKalb High School.
According to IndianaMarching.com, in Class D, Adams Central was first, Woodlan was second and Eastside was third. Hicksville, Ohio and Bluffton were given participation awards. Adams Central won caption awards for music, visual and general effect.
In Class C, Concordia was first, Heritage was second and Leo was third.
Whitko and Garrett earned participation awards. Concordia won caption awards for music, visual and general effect.
Results for Class A and B were not available at press time.
