Prisoner escapes from LaGrange courthouse

A prisoner being sentenced on a probation violation got loose and ran from the LaGrange County Courthouse on Monday afternoon, the county sheriff’s department said.

Devin C. Combs, of Rome City, was sentenced to 55 days right before taking off about 2:45 p.m., a statement issued by the department said.

He was caught a short time later and changed with one count of escape, the department said.
