ANDERSON, Ind. – Relatives and friends of a central Indiana man killed in a head-on collision are struggling to console his grieving wife and care for the couple’s 10 children.
Thirty-seven-year-old Oscar Cardenas was one of two men killed in Wednesday’s crash that devastated his large, close-knit family.
The sister of Cardenas’ wife tells The Herald Bulletin (http://bit.ly/15Jw3DF) that Amalia Cardenas is “in a daze” and devastated by her husband’s death.
Jo Dimas says friends and family are helping care for the couple’s 10 children, making sure they get to school and are properly fed.
Eyewitnesses told police a car being driven erratically by a Muncie man crashed into a car carrying Cardenas and three others returning from a farm where they were employed as laborers helping to harvest tomatoes.
